“A trial mentorship program was started in my final high school year. It was the best opportunity I ever had to discover myself in a vulnerable environment. Having been unconsciously bitter, mentoring started off my journey to recovery, especially at a time when I was always at a conflict of whether to celebrate life or complain about everything. It was not an easy journey towards attaining purpose in life; it called for my mentors to frequently pose new and tougher challenges, and it’s out of the challenges I learnt to adapt and soar to the heights of any challenge. It was out of these mentoring events that I learnt to trust again, to seek guidance whenever not sure, to keep going even when the storm hit harder; and above all, to strive for the best”
